Involvement and innovation typify a way of life for more than 7,300 students
attending University of Wisconsin-Stout. Since its founding in 1891, students
from around the world have been drawn to the UW-Stout campus by an
outstanding curriculum, a faculty with a record of concerned service to
students, and facilities that are among the finest anywhere. Founded as an
experiment in education, UW-Stout attracted national attention from the
beginning.
The Mission of Chippewa Valley Technical College is to provide our students occupational
education, training and retraining, including general education and basic skills courses, for
the purpose of employment or upgrading of employment as well as to provide training and
technical assistance to business and industry to foster economic development
The Menomonie School District is dedicated to preparing young people to be lifelong learners, caring
individuals and responsible citizens. There are many ways to measure the success of our students and
our schools. Our students typically score at least a point above the State of Wisconsin average on the
ACT scores. Our district and school board received a major national award, the Magna Award, from the
National School Boards Association in 1996 for our method of governance.
